Original 18th century folding knife

I have for sale an amazing original 18th century folding knife. The knife handle is made out of dark horn that is beautifully carved and features a carved hoove at the curved end. All the metal work is hand forged. The blade folds and locks nicely. Overall length of the handle is 7 3/4" and the blade is 5 1/2" Overall length when opened is 13 1/8" The handle does have a few drying cracks but that is expected with such old horn and does not affect the structure of the handle in any way. This is the ultimate knife for the serious collector. Price is $1200 OBO which includes shipping. I accept money orders only. If you have any questions or want more photos, please contact me. Thanks.

Frederick Zorger Flintlock Longrifle - Signed - Circa 1800

Here is a beautiful York County fullstock longrifle. It is signed "F. Zorger" in script on the barrel. It has a beautifully engraved four-piece patchbox and a beautifully engraved side plate. It also has an elegantly engraved, silver thumbpiece. The flintlock is nicely reconverted. There is no toe plate. The butt plate is 1 3/4" wide and of an early style. The forestock has a bold relief carved moulding that finishes with graceful incise carved lines near the rear ramrod thimble. It also has incise carving at the comb of the buttstock toward the wrist. There is one piece of wood replaced in front of the lock and the wrist was expertly repaired (nearly undetectable). It is a .48 caliber smoothbore with a 43" barrel. The gun is 58" or so, overall. Wide, early triggerguard. Many additional photos available.

Pistol Collection - Now 11 Pistols!

Here is your chance to buy a nice collection of flintlock and percussion pistols, plus two factory engraved Moore pistols (not pictured). Priced separately they total over $18,000 and I will sell them separately. However, if you buy all eleven, I will discount the group to $15,000. The two shown in the first photo are a pair of (Wm. and Conrad) Horn pistols in .38 caliber smoothbore. Originally a flintlock converted to percussion. Two-piece sideplate, silver oval in cheekpiece. "Chicken-walk" engraving on the sideplate, silver inlay, and around the barrel sights. Mule Ear Longrifle - Signed T*M

This is beautiful rifle with an interesting mule-ear lock. The main spring is external. The rifle has a striking pierced patchbox that is only pinned not screwed in. Simple and very limited engraving. Nice toe plate, trigger guard, heart in front of guard, two-piece side plate, brass strip on cheek piece. Barrel is 42" and it is rifled with a big bore. Forestock has been expertly replaced from rear ramrod thimble forward. Nice piece of curly maple on the gun and matched nearly perfectly on forestock. Replaced forward thimbles and nosecap are outstanding. I like guns that hold well and this one does; it is very comfortable and balanced. It is signed on the barrel with the maker's initials, T * M. Engraving around both sights on barrel, too. Great gun, especially for someone who is interested in different mechanisms of the period. Additional photos available.

Original Log House Hemlock

This dated 1803 cabin located in Mifflin County, PA is a great hand-hewn hemlock log house. It measures 19 X 26 and is a full 2 stories. It originally and currently still has 2 front doors. For its new owner we would be glad to convert one of those doors into a window if you so desired. The building has been covered for many years and surprisingly there is no rot. The logs are all sound and display a very clean hewing job. Front floor ceiling heights appear to be close to 8ft high and those floor joists were hewn and then lightly hand-planned. We have other photos. Cost includes crib, replacement logs (if any) all joists, pole rafters, and enough flooring for probably 1 floor. Freight is extra dependant upon where it is going. A very, very nice cabin that could be a great home or an addition.
